The Role

We are looking for an intern passionate about all things digital, media and events. The role will see you assisting our Events Team in curating virtual and live event experiences for our clients, managing communications, editorial indices, and event production across webinars, award ceremonies and summits. We are working in a fast-paced environment and with that comes an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and experiences.

At an exciting point in the company’s growth, we are looking for an Intern who will work full-time, the internship position is from Jan – June 2024. You will work closely with the operations director on the administrative elements of Dublin Tech Summit as well as with the full event team to deliver the series of Business and Finance events, therefore gaining valuable experience in many different event formats and audiences. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Assisting the events team across a diverse portfolio of events

Catalyst Media is seeking a dedicated company accountant to join our growing team. This is a new role for the business, reporting to the Managing Director and sitting as part of a broader finance team. The Company Accountant will be responsible for guiding commercial decision-making through the accurate reporting of business results to the senior management team. You will manage the month-end reporting preparation and day-to-day management of a small finance function.

Digital transformation is at the core of our operations and we are looking for an accountant with experience integrating accountancy software with other CRM and Events software. This role offers the chance to be part of a growing company with plenty of opportunities to improve accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, providing meaningful commentary and analysis to aid in decision-making.
  • Take responsibility for the complete accounts payable and receivable process, banking transactions, tax filings, and the preparation and reporting of profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Payroll Management:
  • Process monthly payroll and Employee Expense Reporting using Collsoft, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and financial standards.

Catalyst Media is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join the design department on a part-time fixed-term basis, delivering world-class event design.

You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting, fast-paced creative environment and be mentored to deliver innovative digital and print media across multiple events, including Dublin Tech Summit, Business & Finance Awards, Diversity in Tech Awards, The Spider Awards and the Business & Finance Magazine.

The internship will be for a period of six months, working a minimum of 3 days per week (flexi-time) at a fixed salary of 12k per year. The role will be based in our office in Charlotte Quay, Dublin 4, with the option of remote working.

The Internship

We are looking for a highly motivated new team member with a passion for all things digital, media, events and above all client partnerships, who will work at the core of our client account management & events team. Your role will see you helping to curate virtual and in person event experiences for our clients, manage event
